My journey to where I am standing today, started back in 1984. I was 11 and really wanted to teach Sunday School. I had been helping out the leader of the children's church department, doing little puppet skits and singing songs. But my passion and hearts desire was to teach bible stories to the children on a more intimate scale. My mommy went to her daddy, the founding father of the church, Pastor Lee W. Robinson, & he gave it the green light. More than 30 years later, I am now the church's Children's Minister. God laid in granddads heart what was to be the foundation of my life long love of teaching; from many classes within the church, as well as jobs at other churches (week days, naturally!) and I worked as a special education instructional assistant, for 10 years with a school district.
1 Corinthians 13:4a "Love is patient, Love is kind.." God sent me the perfect, patient & kind man, Frankie, back in 1990. We married in 1995, & although we have had our share of heartache and pain, God has always pulled us back together in His loving arms. He supports me tremendously, and besides my mommy, is my BIGGEST cheerleader. I am blessed beyond words to call him my husband. I am truly honored to call him my best friend.... I have taught children, who I am now teaching their own children. And look forward to their grandkids in my class! I love teaching our students and have a total Blast with all of them. God put me in the exact right place, and I am so very grateful He chose me as the one who gets to share the gospel with our students, and to start that "fire" burning in their souls.
